Club Policies

Room Capacities Vermillion Room 36 St. Croix Room 36 Mississippi Room 160 Please note that room capacities do not take into consideration: dance floors, head table, cake table, punch table, staging, movie screen, etc. Mississippi Room: A room charge of $600 is required for non-members and will be applied to your final bill. St. Croix Room and Vermillion Room: A room charge of $250 is required for non-members and will be applied to your final bill. Deposits: A deposit is required to secure the date requested. If the event is not cancelled prior to six months of the date of the event, it becomes non-refundable, unless the Club is successful in re-leasing the facility. If the event is held, the deposit is applied to the final bill. Sales Tax and Service Charges: All menu prices are subject to a 18% service charge, a 6.5% state sales tax, and a 9% state sales liquor tax. Guarantees:  Please notify the catering office 72 business hours prior to your function with the guaranteed number of guests that you expect to attend. If the guarantee is not submitted, you will be billed for the estimated number of guests agreed upon on the Catering Event Order. Prices:  The prices on our catering menu, due to the market conditions, are subject to change without notice. Once the menu is selected, a price can be confirmed 45 days prior to your event. Food Tasting:The catering department will be happy to arrange a trial tasting. Trial dinners need to be scheduled at least one month prior to your event. Trial tastings are held Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Trial dinners are not complimentary; payment must be submitted upon conclusion of your tasting. Food Regulations: Due to health department regulations and Club policy, the Club must prepare food and beverage consumed on the premises. Club policy also prohibits removal of beverages or extra buffet food from the Club premises. Wedding/Birthday Cakes: You are welcome to provide your own cake. Hastings Country Club is pleased to offer complimentary cake-cutting service. Decorations and Linens: The Club will not permit the affixing of anything to the walls, floors, ceilings, or outdoor poles with nails, staples, tape, or other substances unless prior management approval is given. Hastings Country Club provides linen tablecloths and napkins at no charge. Napkins are available in a variety of colors for an additional fee. Music and Entertainment:  The catering department will be pleased to recommend music and entertainment, or you may make your own arrangements. All bands or DJs must set up prior to the arrival of your guests. The Club does not provide a meal for entertainers. All entertainers must end by 12:00 am and all entertainers or persons connected with the entertainers are not allowed to consume alcoholic beverages while on Club property. Audio/Visual Requirements: The Club will provide one podium and one microphone at no charge. A complete listing of audio/visual equipment rental is available through the catering office. No Smoking Policy: The main floor of the clubhouse is smoke free. Your guests are not permitted to smoke anywhere in the Club. Smoking is permitted outside the entrance to the clubhouse or on the veranda. Ashtray receptacles are provided outside for your guests to use. Clean Up: Hastings Country Club reserves the right to add on appropriate cleaning charges if the condition of the room after the event makes this necessary. Security: A security guard may be arranged if requested or required by Hastings Country Club at your expense. Three Rivers Lounge: This room is a members-only location; please ensure all of your guests are made aware of this policy. Any damaged to Club property caused by an attendee, performer, or setup person shall be the responsibility of the host of the party. The cost of any repairs will be billed to the host of the party. The Club will not assume any responsibility for damage or loss of any merchandise or articles left on the premises before, during, or after your function.
